Aransas Pass, San Patricio County, Texas, USAFuneral services were held at the graveside at Glen Cove Cemetery Wednesday, December 24, for A. J. Crenshaw, 85, who died at Aransas Pass, December 22, 1947. The body was brought from Aransas Pass for burial following a service in that city. Paul Wallace conducted the services and Wright's Funeral Home was in charge.Mr. Crenshaw was a retired building contractor who resided in Coleman County a number of years prior to 1912. He was a native of Arkansas having been born October 3, 1862. He had been a member of the Church of Christ since childhood.Mr. Crenshaw married Martha Frances Strother on October 23, 1881 at Grapeland, Texas. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1938.Survivors are four sons, H.T. Crenshaw, Valera; Mack Crenshaw, Leakey; Virgil Crenshaw, Houston; and Jack Crenshaw, Aransas Pass; and daughter, Mrs. Lela Barker, Aransas Pass, a sister Mrs Dollie McQueen, Fisk, and 24 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.Pallbearers were A.H. McQueen, A.G. McQueen, J.C. McQueen, M. McQueen, F.E McQueen and W.E. Kile.Besides all of Mr. Crenshaw's sons, his son-in-law, Rufus Barker, was present for the burial services. Among others who came to Glen Cove for the services were Mrs. Mack Crenshaw of Leakey; Mrs. John Farris, the daughtr of Virgil Crenshaw of Houston; Jo Ann Crenshaw, daughter of Jack Crenshaw of Aransas Pass; Mr. Hunter of Aransas Pass, Mr. & Mrs. W.H.
